MAJESTIC UNITY

CONVERSION OF H.F.O. SYSTEM TO M.D.O. SYSTEM

Installation of new fuel changeover solenoid valves for M.A.N. generators.
The pneumatic valves are electrically controlled from a locally placed control panel.
All pipes fitted were schedule 80.
All pipes leading to and from the control valves were of the non-return type.
Air supply for the solenoid valves was piped directly from the generator emergency air start bottle.
Solenoid valve supply for indication and control box power supply were taken from the generator 24volt system.
M.D.O. priming pump 440volt supply was taken from the emergency switchboard and routed via emergency stops

In-line relief valve incorporated
into new generator fuel system
H.F.O supply & return lines to
generator flat
New M.D.O drop line with new constant
pressure valve fitted into original piping
New M.D.O. priming pump
New N.F.O inlet filters & supply meter
All new H.F.O. piping was followed with
steam tracing & subsequently lagged.
All major pipelines fitted with
pressure guages and
thermometers where required
Both H.F.O supply and return
meters fitted to system
Return M.D.O pipeline fitted
with a constant pressure valve
Position of new solenoid valve
system on generator
Fitting of electrical cables for
positioners on solenoid valves
Fitting of new control panel
for solenoid valves

Have now completed three of these conversions.
