Matatec provides experienced Polish shipyard tradesmen either under Polish or British supervision, for voyage repairs and major ship repair contracts.

Since the formation of Matatec in 1982, our UK and Poland based company has carried out Sea Going Maintenance (S.G.M.) and provide Riding crews, gangs and squads. Originally, our sea going maintenance work was confined to hatch cover and ro-ro repair and maintenance. However, over the last 18 years the scope has increased to cover every aspect of normal ship repair activities.

Sea going maintenance contracts carried out include major and minor steel repairs, all sizes of pipework repair/installation, blasting and painting of decks and tanks, electrical work, engine repairs/overhauls, deck machinery repair, bilge and tank top cleaning, large/small bore hydraulics and pneumatics, and accomodation refurbishment.

  • Joinery and accommodation works
  • Spares supplied for all types of hatchcovers.

All ship repair work can be tendered for either on a fixed price basis or labour only, daily hire rates.
N.B. - All manhours charged at same rate i.e. over 12 hours daily & weekends.
